Changes in Tele Atlas POI Updates (from Q3 2010 releases)

In line with changes in the map and POI packages of TomTom Licensing (earlier called Tele Atlas), we are introducing renewed Premium POI updates with even more Points of Interest on Naviextras.com. Previously, basic Points of Interest (POIs) databases were updated as part of your Tele Atlas maps. These are replaced with Premium POI database that you can now purchase separately from the map updates - bringing you more reliable content than ever before! You will be able to continue using your old POI database even with the updated map packages, as long as you haven’t refreshed them with the new Premium POIs. You can find more information here!

Please note that this change does not affect Eastern European and South American maps provided by TopMap, which continue to include basic POI updates.

1-year map update subscriptions are discontinued in Eastern Europe (except for Hungary, Romania and Turkey), Colombia and Argentina.

Users previously purchasing 1-year update subscriptions continue to receive updates for free until expiry of the 1 year period.
